Context

In 2019, the Berardelli Foundation in Brescia hosted the monographic retrospective “Punti di vista e di partenza”, dedicated to Luc Fierens, a leading figure in contemporary visual poetry.

Curated by Margot Modonesi, the exhibition offered a comprehensive overview of the Belgian artist, who has been active since the 1980s in the Mail Art, Fluxus and Visual Poetry movements.
The works on display included collages, assemblages and interactive installations that explore the dynamics of language and visual communication.

The exhibition was marked by the publication of the catalogue
“Luc Fierens. Punti di vista e di partenza”, which included critical contributions by Lamberto Pignotti, Jan De Vree, François Linarès, Duccio Dogheria and Davide Galimberti.
The volume provides an in-depth analysis of Fierens' artistic evolution and his impact on international visual poetry, with particular attention to his role within the global Mail Art network.

The exhibition confirmed the Berardelli Foundation's commitment to promoting contemporary art and reflecting on art as a tool for communication and cultural dialogue.
